About Us

Who are we?

Ashtead Players have a long and successful history with a distinguished artistic record equalled by few dramatic societies. Established for over 70 years, we have successfully presented a whole range of popular theatrical productions.

We welcome anyone who wishes to join our society and believe in equal opportunities for all our members who are of all ages, from all walks of life and get together for social and fund raising activities too.

We provide popular theatre and entertainment to the local community and beyond. We also believe in contributing to the community that supports us, and have staged charity performances to help rebuild Ashtead Cricket Club and extend St Giles’ Infant School.

Ashtead Players stage two productions per year at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall. Rehearsals are held at the hall on Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Alan Ayckbourn at his best: intrigue, drama, comedy, pathos and his ubiquitous twists make for a splendid evening of entertainment from the talented Ashtead Players (yet again).

The marathon performance by the leading actress yielded a standing ovation for her portrayal of a mixed up mother who knows love, confusion, anger and sadness.

A truly moving production, not to be missed!
